Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Web Tools Finder (“WTF”, “we”) is a free directory of web development tools. This page explains what information is used when you visit the site and the choices you have.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts or sign-ups for visitors. We do not ask for your name, email or payment details to browse the directory.

Saved tools

When you save a tool, the list is kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device. It is not sent to our servers and you can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful (pages visited, device type, approximate region). You can accept or decline in the cookie banner and change your choice later from Cookie Preferences in the footer. If you decline, analytics cookies are not used.

Advertising

We show ads provided by Google AdSense to cover running costs. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings and learn more about how Google uses data on Google’s partner sites page. Ads are always labelled “Advertisement”.

Resource suggestions

If you use Suggest Resource, the details you type (tool name, website, description and optional link) are used only to review the suggestion for the directory.

Links to other sites

Tool pages link to external websites. We do not control those sites and their privacy practices are their own.

Children

The site is aimed at developers and designers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
